Racing Incident Report

LIBERATOR and TRAVEL GUIDE began awkwardly. From the outside barrier, BULLISH CASH was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. In the early stages, SUNNY MORE raced ungenerously and got its head on the side. SUNNY MORE continued to race ungenerously for some distance after this when being steadied by its rider. O Doleuze (GLORY OF INDIA) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 1600 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of KING OF SCOTS, causing that horse to be crowded for room, checked and lose the running to which it was rightfully entitled. In the circumstances of this case, O Doleuze was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Sunday, 10 April 2011 on which day he may resume race riding (3 Hong Kong racedays). This suspension shall commence on Thursday, 31 March 2011 on which day he was due to resume race riding from a suspension incurred at the Happy Valley racemeeting last Wednesday. In addition, O Doleuze was fined $40,000 in lieu of a suspension for a period incorporating one further raceday. Near the 700 Metres, GLORY OF INDIA proved very difficult to settle and was checked away from the heels of EASTERN EMPIRE which was commencing to be ridden along to maintain its position. KING OF SCOTS was unable to obtain clear running until passing the 300 Metres. Close to the finishing line, SUMMER DASH was awkwardly placed inside the heels of BRAVE HEART. Throughout the race, TRAVEL GUIDE raced wide and without cover. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that BULLISH CASH had lost its left front plate. HEAR THE ROAR and LIBERATOR were sent for sampling.
