Racing Incident Report

After being loaded, RAINBOW SEEKER became fractious and got out under the front gates, resulting in its rider, A Suborics, being dislodged. RAINBOW SEEKER was returned to the Start and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of RAINBOW SEEKER. Before being allowed to race again, RAINBOW SEEKER will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Just prior to the start being effected, HERO’S WIN got its head down and consequently was slow to begin. Before being allowed to race again, HERO’S WIN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
REGAL ARMY shifted out at the start and bumped EPEE DE HUA.
Shortly after the start, POLYGOLD was crowded for room between REGAL ARMY and LUCKY TYCOON which was taken out by PAR EXCELLENCE.
Near the 1100 Metres, REGAL ARMY shifted in and bumped LUCKY TYCOON which was awkwardly placed close to the heels of PAR EXCELLENCE.
Approaching the 1000 Metres, PAR EXCELLENCE got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of FASCINATING SMILE.
Passing the 700 Metres, PAR EXCELLENCE proved difficult to settle and got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of FASCINATING SMILE.
Near the 150 Metres, PAR EXCELLENCE was checked away from the heels of INVICTUS when held up for clear running behind that horse.
For the majority of the race, FUN AND FAST travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of REGAL ARMY and HAPPY KAISER after the race did not show any significant findings.
POLYGOLD, EPEE DE HUA and FASCINATING SMILE were sent for sampling.
