Racing Incident Report

After being loaded, LIFE OF BEAUTY became fractious. Before being allowed to race again, LIFE OF BEAUTY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
MAJESTIC ANTHEM was checked when crowded for room at the start between SUN HUSSAR and ALL MY BENEFIT which shifted in abruptly after beginning awkwardly.
SKIP COURT shifted out at the start, resulting in GOLDWEAVER being crowded for room inside DASHING FORTUNE.
From wide barriers, VICTORY IDE SAY, MEDIC SWORDSMAN and KISSMET were all taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Near the 1100 Metres, GOLDWEAVER commenced to over-race and was checked away from the heels of THUNDER POWER and in doing so shifted in. At the same stage, ALL MY BENEFIT commenced to prove very difficult to settle and got its head up when being checked away from the heels of YOUNG TALENT. After this, ALL MY BENEFIT continued to prove very difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions. Then passing the 800 Metres, ALL MY BENEFIT was checked away from the heels of YOUNG TALENT. VICTORY IDE SAY, which was following, was hampered in consequence.
At the 500 Metres, GOLDWEAVER was checked when crowded for room between LIFE OF BEAUTY and YOUNG TALENT which was racing tight to the outside of REAL GENERAL.
LIFE OF BEAUTY lost its right hind plate at the 500 Metres.
At the 400 Metres, THUNDER POWER was crowded for room between LIFE OF BEAUTY and REAL GENERAL which at this time was obtaining tight running between THUNDER POWER and SUN HUSSAR which shifted out slightly. YOUNG TALENT, which was following THUNDER POWER, was held up for clear running behind that horse in consequence.
Approaching the 300 Metres, THUNDER POWER was steadied when crowded for room between REAL GENERAL which shifted out slightly and LIFE OF BEAUTY (T Angland) which shifted in abruptly. As the Stewards were satisfied that T Angland had attempted to take prompt corrective measures on LIFE OF BEAUTY to prevent that horse from shifting in, no further action was taken.
After the 300 Metres, C Y Ho (DASHING FORTUNE) dropped his whip.
Near the 100 Metres, LIFE OF BEAUTY was bumped by ALL MY BENEFIT which, when closing off the race well, was shifted to the outside of REAL GENERAL to obtain clear running.
Over the concluding stages, MAJESTIC ANTHEM was awkwardly placed inside the heels of REAL GENERAL.
Throughout the race, THUNDER POWER and LIFE OF BEAUTY both travelled wide and without cover.
When questioned regarding the improved performance of DASHING FORTUNE, Trainer K L Man stated that the horse was only having its second run for his stable. He said when resuming at its first run the horse had failed to close off over a shorter distance, but had benefited from that race. He said although he expected DASHING FORTUNE to improve today, nonetheless its win was not anticipated by the stable.
A veterinary inspection of LIFE OF BEAUTY and YOUNG TALENT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
MAJESTIC ANTHEM, DASHING FORTUNE and MEDIC SWORDSMAN were sent for sampling.
<7/10/2013 Additional Veterinary Report>The Veterinary Officer reported that POWER BLITZ was found to be lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, POWER BLITZ will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
