Racing Incident Report
SUPER FORM was withdrawn on 31.12.18 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (inflamed left front medial suspensory branch). Before being allowed to race again, SUPER FORM will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
VINCY shifted in at the start and bumped GREEN DISPATCH.
VILLA FIONN was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
From a wide barrier, JOLLY HONOUR was also steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Approaching the 1300 Metres, VILLA FIONN and RAZOR QUEST momentarily raced tight inside AMAZING SATCHMO which got its head on the side and shifted in away from JOLLY HONOUR.
Passing the 1200 Metres, AMAZING SATCHMO commenced to travel keenly and shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of NOBLE STEED. JOLLY HONOUR, which was racing to the outside of AMAZING SATCHMO, was steadied and shifted behind that horse in consequence.
Near the 350 Metres, RAZOR QUEST was inconvenienced when racing in restricted room between MAGNETISM which shifted in marginally and TURF SPRINT which shifted out after being awkwardly placed close to the heels of MERRYGOWIN.
Throughout the race, MAGNETISM travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, W M Lai explained that it was intended for TURF SPRINT to be ridden behind the leaders as it was at its last start. He said however TURF SPRINT did not begin well and after riding his mount along in the early stages, runners to the inside and outside of TURF SPRINT showed more speed than his mount and this resulted in TURF SPRINT racing further back in the field than had been anticipated.
A veterinary inspection of GO BEAUTY GO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
NICCONI EXPRESS and VINCY were sent for sampling.
<2/1/2019 Additional Veterinary Report>The Veterinary Surgeon reported that PAKISTAN FRIEND was lame in its right hind leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, PAKISTAN FRIEND will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
