Racing Incident Report

IRISH VEGA began very awkwardly and shortly after the start was checked and lost ground when crowded for room between MARVELOUS WORLD which shifted in and SOLAR BILLION which was taken out by DUKE WAI which was in turn taken out by RED BRICK FIGHTER (C Schofield) which shifted out abruptly. In this incident, SOLAR BILLION was also severely checked and DUKE WAI was hampered. Then a short distance after this incident, LORIZ shifted in and made heavy contact with MARVELOUS WORLD, causing both horses to become unbalanced. Whilst the Stewards accepted that RED BRICK FIGHTER had shifted out abruptly and became unbalanced after making contact with DUKE WAI, nonetheless C Schofield was told to ensure that he makes every endeavour to straighten his mounts at the earliest opportunity.
From wide barriers, MAJESTIC ENDEAVOUR and DEMONS ROCK were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Throughout the race, FAIRY FLOSS travelled wide and without cover and making the first turn after the 900 Metres got its head on the side and lay out.
Also making the first turn after the 900 Metres, CHARITYDREAM got its head on the side and lay out and then continued to lay out making the turn until the Home Straight.
Approaching the 500 Metres, FAIRY FLOSS lay out which allowed MARVELOUS WORLD to improve its position inside FAIRY FLOSS.
Near the 450 Metres, MAJESTIC ENDEAVOUR raced tight outside DEMONS ROCK which shifted to the outside of SOLAR BILLION to obtain clear running.
Near the 350 Metres, FAIRY FLOSS shifted out away from JIMSON THE DRAGON after being brushed by that horse.
Approaching the 200 Metres, LORIZ was bumped by SUPER EIGHTEEN which shifted in.
Approaching the 150 Metres, U Rispoli (JIMSON THE DRAGON) dropped his right rein which he was not able to regather until near the 100 Metres.
Over the final 100 Metres, MARVELOUS WORLD raced greenly and shifted out towards the heels of JIMSON THE DRAGON, resulting in MARVELOUS WORLD being awkwardly placed inside that horse.
A veterinary inspection of CHARITYDREAM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
LORIZ, DUKE WAI and SUPER EIGHTEEN were sent for sampling.
