Racing Incident Report

Whilst in the saddling stalls, ELITE BOY had its left hind plate refitted. ELITE BOY was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.
BIG POWER shifted out at the start and raced tight inside the hindquarters of SKY TREASURE.
MANFUL STAR began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped ELITE BOY, causing both horses to become unbalanced.
From a wide barrier, BOND ELEGANCE was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Near the 500 Metres, MEHBOOB became badly unbalanced after shifting in and brushing the running rail when momentarily racing tight inside SWEETIE BARLEY.
Passing the 400 Metres, SWEETIE BARLEY and CORRE RAPIDO raced tight.
Passing the 200 Metres, SWEETIE BARLEY was awkwardly placed inside ELITE BOY and behind LUNAR ZEPHYR.
Approaching the 50 Metres, VERY LUCKY raced tight inside LUNAR ZEPHYR which was taken in marginally by ELITE BOY when that horse shifted in under pressure.
Throughout the race, ELITE BOY travelled wide and without cover.
The performance of BIG POWER, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, BIG POWER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of BIG POWER and MANFUL STAR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of SWEETIE BARLEY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.
CORRE RAPIDO, SKY TREASURE and BOND ELEGANCE were sent for sampling.
