Racing Incident Report
Approaching the 600 Metres, UTOPIA LIFE shifted out and made contact with HARBOUR ALERT which in turn bumped the hindquarters of THANKS FOREVER.
For the majority of the race, ORIONIDS hung in.
Also for the majority of the race, SHARP STYLE lay out.
The performance of KA YING LEGEND, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, KA YING LEGEND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
After the race, C Schofield (WAYFOONG VINNIE) expressed concern regarding the action of the horse. WAYFOONG VINNIE was subsequently examined by the Veterinary Officer who said there were no significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, WAYFOONG VINNIE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Also after the race, it was reported that ORIONIDS had bled from both nostrils and HARBOUR ALERT was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, HARBOUR ALERT will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
THANKS FOREVER and MULTIMILLION were sent for sampling.
