Racing Incident Report

MOST BEAUTIFUL stumbled badly at the start, resulting in its rider becoming unbalanced.
FLYING SWORD and ZERO HEDGE bumped at the start.
HEART CONQUERED shifted out abruptly at the start, resulting in JUST NOT LISTENING becoming badly unbalanced when crowded onto COBY OPPA which also became unbalanced. After this, despite being ridden along, JUST NOT LISTENING failed to muster speed and then after the 600 Metres was left racing wide and without cover.
From the outside barrier, SILVER FIG was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
After travelling a short distance, ZERO HEDGE raced tight between EXPLOSIVE WITNESS which shifted in away from UTOPIA LIFE and FLYING SWORD which became unbalanced after being bumped by ZERO HEDGE.
When being steadied in an attempt to obtain cover passing the 1000 Metres, HEART CONQUERED proved difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions. A veterinary inspection of HEART CONQUERED immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of HEART CONQUERED, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, HEART CONQUERED will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
K Teetan (COBY OPPA) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 700 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of HEART CONQUERED, resulting in that horse being taken in across the rightful running of MOST BEAUTIFUL which was checked. K Teetan was suspended from riding in races for the racemeeting to be conducted at Happy Valley on Wednesday, 13 May 2020. As such, Jockey Teetan is eligible to resume race riding on Thursday, 14 May 2020. In addition, K Teetan was fined $60,000.
Near the 550 Metres, MOST BEAUTIFUL commenced to travel keenly and was checked away from the heels of HEART CONQUERED.
Near the 250 Metres, MOST BEAUTIFUL was momentarily steadied away from the heels of ZERO HEDGE which was racing tight inside EXPLOSIVE WITNESS.
Near the 150 Metres, FLYING SWORD was bumped by ELITE PATCH which shifted out before being corrected. A short distance after this, FLYING SWORD was checked away from the heels of COBY OPPA which was giving ground, shifted out and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of JUST NOT LISTENING.
After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on GRATWICK at the request of Trainer T P Yung. The Veterinary Surgeon reported that this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, GRATWICK will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of JUST NOT LISTENING and FLYING SWORD immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SILVER FIG and UTOPIA LIFE were sent for sampling.
<4/5/2020 Additional Veterinary Report>After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on GRATWICK at the request of Trainer T P Yung. The Veterinary Surgeon reported that this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. The Veterinary Surgeon today reported that GRATWICK was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. As previously advised, GRATWICK will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
