Racing Incident Report
EIGHT TRIGRAMS was withdrawn on raceday afternoon by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (fever). Before being allowed to race again, EIGHT TRIGRAMS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
MAGIC SUPREME and ROSSE SCARPE bumped at the start.
DAILY BEAUTY was crowded for room on jumping between PERFECT PAIR and MASTER ALBERT which shifted out. After this, DAILY BEAUTY, MASTER ALBERT and PERFECT PAIR were all shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
From a wide barrier, HAPPY WINNER was also steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Approaching and passing the 1000 Metres, MAGIC SUPREME travelled keenly in the lead and got its head up for some distance.
Near the 950 Metres, HAPPY TANGO was checked away from the heels of SOLAR VICTORY which was being steadied to obtain cover.
After the 700 Metres, MASTER ALBERT was left racing wide and without cover.
After the 400 Metres, DAILY BEAUTY was checked when crowded for room between HONEST WAY and ROSSE SCARPE which became unbalanced when racing tight inside HAPPY TANGO.
After the race, C Schofield stated that after being ridden along to obtain a forward position from the outside barrier, HAPPY TANGO raced keenly and then was on and off the bridle and consequently did not finish off the race over the concluding stages. A veterinary inspection of HAPPY TANGO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
