Racing Incident Report

VOYAGE STAR, DAZZLING FEELING and MASTER OF FUN began awkwardly.
GALACTIC shifted out at the start and brushed CORDYCEPS ONE.
JUDY’S STAR shifted out on jumping and bumped VAST STARLIGHT.
From wide barriers, ZELUS, JUDY’S STAR and CORDYCEPS ONE were all steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Shortly after the start, DAZZLING FEELING was steadied away from the heels of VOYAGE STAR (R Maia) which shifted in when not fully clear. R Maia was severely reprimanded and advised to ensure that he provides sufficient clearance in similar circumstances.
When being steadied passing the 1100 Metres to obtain cover, MASTER OF FUN travelled keenly.
Passing the 500 Metres, DIVINE ERA was shifted out away from the heels of MASTER OF FUN after being awkwardly placed behind that horse. When being shifted to the outside of MASTER OF FUN, DIVINE ERA bumped the hindquarters of VAST STARLIGHT which became unbalanced. DIVINE ERA was then awkwardly placed close to the heels of MASTER OF FUN approaching the 400 Metres.
ENCHANTING START was held up for clear running passing the 400 Metres, resulting in the horse having to be checked away from the heels of VOYAGE STAR on a number of occasions approaching and passing the 200 Metres. ENCHANTING START was then unable to obtain clear running over the concluding stages and consequently was not able to be tested.
In the Straight, DIVINE ERA raced greenly and shifted ground on a number of occasions.
Throughout the race, GALACTIC travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, ENCHANTING START was noted to be making an abnormal respiratory noise. A subsequent endoscopic examination of ENCHANTING START confirmed the horse to be a "roarer”.
ENCHANTING START, FANTASTIC TREASURE and GALACTIC were sent for sampling.
