Racing Incident Report

COBHFIELD began only fairly.
FEARLESS FIRE shifted out at the start and bumped AMAZING ONE PLUS.
SUPER DYNAMITE began awkwardly and shifted in towards the heels of THE HULK. After this, from a wide barrier, SUPER DYNAMITE was steadied to obtain cover.
MASTER HERO shifted in at the start and brushed TEMPEST EXPRESS.
WIN WIN FIGHTER and SKY FOREVER bumped on jumping. After this, from the outside barriers, WIN WIN FIGHTER and SKY FOREVER were shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
AMAZING ONE PLUS travelled keenly in the early stages when being steadied to obtain cover behind FEARLESS FIRE.
FEARLESS FIRE lay out rounding the Home Turn.
For some distance in the early part of the Straight, SAUVESTRE raced very tight between QUADRUPLE DOUBLE and MASTER HERO when attempting to improve between those horses where there was not quite sufficient room. SAUVESTRE then raced tight inside the heels of MASTER HERO after the 300 Metres which shifted in marginally under pressure. A short distance after this, SAUVESTRE was struck across the nose by the whip of M F Poon (QUADRUPLE DOUBLE). As SAUVESTRE continued to race in restricted room between MASTER HERO and QUADRUPLE DOUBLE, SAUVESTRE and QUADRUPLE DOUBLE bumped passing the 200 Metres, resulting in SAUVESTRE becoming unbalanced, getting its head on the side and laying in despite the efforts of its rider. This resulted in QUADRUPLE DOUBLE becoming unbalanced.
C L Chau (AMAZING ONE PLUS) dropped his whip near the 200 Metres. As this was the 4th occasion this season that Jockey Chau had dropped his whip in races, he was fined the sum of $5,000.
After the 150 Metres, SUPER DYNAMITE had some difficulty obtaining clear running and near the 100 Metres was shifted to the outside of AMAZING ONE PLUS to obtain clear running.
For the majority of the race, REGENCY BO BO travelled wide and without cover.
Throughout the race, THE HULK travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, A Badel stated that he was not able to offer any explanation for the disappointing performance of TEMPEST EXPRESS. He said the horse travelled fairly throughout the race and in the early part of the Straight was held up when disappointed for running between REGENCY BO BO and SKY FOREVER. He said after this TEMPEST EXPRESS did not respond to his riding and was disappointing in the manner in which it failed to finish off the race. A veterinary inspection of TEMPEST EXPRESS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
MASTER HERO and SAUVESTRE were sent for sampling.
