Racing Incident Report

TOP ACCOLADE began only fairly and then was crowded for room between MISTER ARM and KWAI CHUNG ELITE which shifted out.
From wide barriers, SMILING FACE, NITRO EXPRESS and WHO LOVES THE ACE were all steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, SUN SUN FA FA was awkwardly placed outside the heels of AMAZING BOY when being steadied to obtain cover behind that horse.
Passing the winning post on the first occasion, SMILING FACE got its head up and proved difficult to settle when being steadied to obtain cover behind KWAI CHUNG ELITE.
Near the 1350 Metres, TOP ACCOLADE shifted in away from the heels of SUN SUN FA FA and in doing so brushed the running rail and became unbalanced.
Near the 1050 Metres, RUN THE TABLE was awkwardly placed outside the heels of MISTER ARM which shifted out away from the heels of CENTENARY IBIS.
VECTOR lay in under pressure in the Straight.
On pulling up, M Chadwick dismounted from SUN SUN FA FA. A veterinary inspection of SUN SUN FA FA immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right hind leg. Before being allowed to race again, SUN SUN FA FA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
After the race, L Ferraris stated that WHO LOVES THE ACE travelled keenly in the middle stages and would not relax for him as well as he had hoped. He said after commencing to improve his position after the 600 Metres, WHO LOVES THE ACE came under pressure rounding the Home Turn and then did not finish off the race which he attributed to the horse’s failure to relax in the middle stages. A veterinary inspection of WHO LOVES THE ACE immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, WHO LOVES THE ACE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of KWAI CHUNG ELITE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
RUN THE TABLE and AMAZING BOY were sent for sampling.
