Racing Incident Report

S J TOURBILLON was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Also from the outside barrier, CINQUANTE CINQ was steadied and shifted across behind runners to obtain a position closer to the rail.
SUPER OASIS and KING TOURBILLON bumped shortly after the start.
After travelling a short distance, BLASTOISE and NORDIC SKY bumped.
NORDIC SKY lost its right front plate in the early stages.
Approaching the 1800 Metres, NORDIC SKY got its head up when close to the heels of KING TOURBILLON when being shifted across behind that horse.
Both MAJESTIC VICTORY and EXCEPTIONAL NICE travelled wide and without cover until after entering the Home Straight on the first occasion.
Passing the 1100 Metres, SUPERBELLA was shifted out and allowed to improve its position into the lead approaching the 800 Metres at which time S J TOURBILLON, which had improved with SUPERBELLA, was left racing wide and without cover.
Approaching the 500 Metres, SUPER OASIS was awkwardly placed close to the heels of KING TOURBILLON when being shifted to the outside of that horse as KING TOURBILLON commenced to give ground.
After the 500 Metres, RISE BRETHREN improved into tight running between VINCY and CINQUANTE CINQ. After this, RISE BRETHREN and CINQUANTE CINQ raced tight as RISE BRETHREN attempted to shift to the outside of SUPER OASIS. Then after the 400 Metres, RISE BRETHREN lost ground when checked away from the heels of SUPER OASIS after being unable to improve between that horse and CINQUANTE CINQ.
The performances of EXCEPTIONAL NICE and KING TOURBILLON, both of which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, EXCEPTIONAL NICE and KING TOURBILLON will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of EXCEPTIONAL NICE immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
A veterinary inspection of VINCY and KING TOURBILLON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
RISE BRETHREN, BLASTOISE and SUPERBELLA were sent for sampling.
