Racing Incident Report

ROYAL PRIDE began only fairly.
COMPASSION SUPER shifted out at the start and bumped ENCORE.
From wide barriers, HAPPY HERO, SPICY GRILL and HARDLY SWEARS were steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Near the 1150 Metres, OUR CLASS ACT was awkwardly placed outside the heels of YOUNG VICTORY when being steadied to obtain cover behind that horse.
After the 900 Metres, YOUNG VICTORY was crowded for room between DOUBLE SHOW which shifted out before being drifted back in and LESLIE which was taken in by ENCORE (A Badel) which, when being steadied to obtain a position behind COMPASSION SUPER, shifted in when not properly clear. A Badel was reprimanded and told to ensure that he exercises due care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
After the 700 Metres, HARDLY SWEARS was left racing wide and without cover.
Making the turn after the 600 Metres, LESLIE raced tight outside DOUBLE SHOW which got its head on the side and shifted out away from the heels of BRILLIANT EIGHT and towards the heels of ENCORE. LESLIE and DOUBLE SHOW then bumped after the 500 Metres.
Near the 400 Metres, YOUNG VICTORY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of DOUBLE SHOW. SPICY GRILL, which was following YOUNG VICTORY, was held up behind that horse in consequence.
After the 300 Metres, TRIUMPHANT RETURN got its head on the side and lay in when racing tight inside DOUBLE SHOW which shifted in.
After the 250 Metres, OUR CLASS ACT was crowded for room between BRILLIANT EIGHT and ENCORE which shifted in marginally when commencing to give ground. OUR CLASS ACT then continued to race in restricted room between ENCORE and BRILLIANT EIGHT until near the 150 Metres.
Passing the 200 Metres, SPICY GRILL was shifted in away from the heels of LESLIE to continue improving. SPICY GRILL then had some difficulty obtaining clear running over the latter stages.
Approaching the 100 Metres, M F Poon (YOUNG VICTORY) dropped his right rein.
Passing the 50 Metres, ROYAL PRIDE was shifted to the inside of TRIUMPHANT RETURN.
DOUBLE SHOW, COMPASSION SUPER and TRIUMPHANT RETURN were sent for sampling.
