Racing Incident Report

YOUNG EXPLORER, RUN DES RUN and JOY MASTER were all slow to begin.
THIS IS CHARISMA and TURF BRILLIANT bumped on jumping.
From the outside barriers, DAILY BEAUTY and SHINY TWO were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
YOUNG EXPLORER raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
Approaching the 800 Metres, JOY MASTER was steadied off the heels of TURF BRILLIANT. This resulted in THIS IS CHARISMA, which was following, having to be steadied.
SUNNY BABY got its head up when racing keenly near the 800 Metres.
RUN DES RUN was held up from the 400 Metres and was shifted out approaching the 300 Metres to obtain clear running. Then near the 200 Metres, RUN DES RUN was again shifted out to avoid the heels of TURF BRILLIANT which was giving ground.
For a short distance passing the 400 Metres, YOUNG EXPLORER raced ungenerously.
SHINY TWO became badly unbalanced near the 150 Metres after shifting out and bumping GO GO SIXTEEN, resulting in that horse shifting out and bumping the hindquarters of WINNING STEED which also became unbalanced when giving ground.
V Borges (YOUNG EXPLORER) was reminded of his obligations to refrain from using his whip forward of the saddle.
Throughout the race, DAILY BEAUTY travelled wide and without cover.
When questioned regarding the tactics he adopted on SUNNY BABY in the Home Straight, Z Purton stated that after passing the 300 Metres he elected to shift in as, in his view, it was the best option for a clear run to the finishing line when at the time TURF BRILLIANT was shifting out in front of him. It was also noted that SUNNY BABY had some difficulty obtaining clear running inside the final 150 Metres when racing tight between WINNING STEED and PRIDE OF DRAGON.
A veterinary inspection of WINNING STEED immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SUNNY BABY, BOYS PARTY and JOY MASTER were sent for sampling.
