Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
1 JAMES TAK (J007) After being crossed by NEW POWER near the 900 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied away from that runner’s heels. Near the 350 Metres was disappointed for clear running between REGENT GLORY and SPEEDY FORTUNE. Was then shifted to the inside of REGENT GLORY where it was held up between the 350 Metres and the 300 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 YOU'REMYEVERYTHING (E413) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Sent for sampling post-race.
7 SKY TRUST (J161) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
6 SILVER DESTINY (J096) After the race, K Teetan reported that his mount, which was having its second race start, raced greenly throughout the event.
DH 3 GIMME FIVE (J099) Near the 900 Metres, when racing keenly, was steadied to avoid NEW POWER (M L Yeung) which shifted in when not quite clear. M L Yeung was advised to exercise more care.
DH 10 NEW POWER (H325) When questioned regarding his mount leading, M L Yeung stated that as NEW POWER had not begun well in its previous race starts, he was asked to ensure that it began well to hold a handy position. He said when NEW POWER commenced well, he elected to make use of its good start where he rode his mount along in the early stages to hold a forward position. He added when runners to his inside did not show intent to lead the event, so as to avoid racing wide, he continued to ride his mount along to cross to the lead.
5 LUCKY CHARM (J147) Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. After the 800 Metres commenced to race keenly and got its head up when being steadied away from JAMES TAK.
8 LUCKY FIONN (J047) Jumped only fairly. In the middle stages over-raced. From the 450 Metres until the 200 Metres was held up for clear running. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
4 GOLDEN ONE (J010) Shifted in at the start, made contact with the right side of its barrier and lost ground. Between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running behind LUCKY CHARM.
9 REGENT GLORY (E323) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 SPEEDY FORTUNE (H097) After the race, Z Purton stated that his intention was to hold a forward position, but despite riding his mount along in the early stages he was unable to cross runners to his inside which resulted in SPEEDY FORTUNE racing wide and without cover for the majority of the event. He added when placed under pressure in the Home Straight SPEEDY FORTUNE gave ground. Trainer J Size agreed with the views of Z Purton and stated that the horse had trialed well leading into today’s event and he expected it to perform well. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of SPEEDY FORTUNE was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, SPEEDY FORTUNE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
12 NISHIKADO (H172) Steadied away from SPEEDY FORTUNE approaching the 900 Metres when racing keenly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, NISHIKADO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
