Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
10 SOLID IMPACT (E447) Bumped at the start. From the 400 Metres was held up for clear running and after the 250 Metres was shifted out a number of horses where it secured clear running at the 150 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 EIGHTY LIGHT YEARS (H170) Sent for sampling post-race.
4 NORTHERN BEACHES (H266) No report.
5 FASHION LEGEND (J080) Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.
11 SIXTH GENERATION (G120) On 7 March 2024, the Stewards approved for A Atzeni to be substituted as the rider of SIXTH GENERATION as K H Chan was unable to make the weight. Having regard to the circumstances of this case and in particular that Jockey Chan advised the connections and the Stewards of his unavailability to ride prior to betting commencing, the Stewards believed that the appropriate penalty was for him to be fined a sum of $2,000. Jumped awkwardly, was then crowded shortly after the start and as a result was steadied.
6 PINS PRINCE (G013) Bumped at the start. In the middle stages raced keenly.
2 HASTEN DELIGHT (J229) After the race, H Bowman reported that his mount was disadvantaged by racing wide and without cover but still did not quicken when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
9 KYEEMA (J055) No report.
1 CAMPIONE (G235) Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race.
8 APOLAR FIGHTER (J169) Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
7 ACE ONE (G196) After the race, A Hamelin reported that from the outside barrier he was asked to ride ACE ONE in a conservative manner in the early stages. Trainer D J Whyte confirmed the instructions issued and stated that he asked the horse to be ridden conservatively in the early stages to avoid it racing wide. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
12 LOST CHILD (G461) Shifted out on jumping and was bumped. After the race, M L Yeung reported that his mount gave ground quicky over the concluding stages when under pressure and when not in a competitive position he eased his mount down over the final 100 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, LOST CHILD will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
