Racing Incident Report

1 3 IMA SINGLE MAN (D476) Bumped on jumping. When questioned regarding the improved performance of IMA SINGLE MAN and the horse leading today, Trainer A S Cruz stated that after its last start disappointing performance he transferred IMA SINGLE MAN to his Conghua stable. He said he removed the hood and blinkers and added a visor to the horse’s gear when it barrier trialed at Conghua on 8 March 2024 where it had led and performed well. He said as a result he had instructed Apprentice Y L Chung to lead on IMA SINGLE MAN and attributed the improved performance to the gear change made to the horse and the fact that IMA SINGLE MAN was able to lead today’s event. Sent for sampling post-race.

3 10 BEAUTY MISSILE (H123) Sent for sampling post-race.
4 12 ENDEARED (H161) After the 400 Metres was shifted to the inside of BEAUTY GLORY to continue into clear running. Over the concluding stages was held up and could not be ridden out to the finish when positioned behind IMA SINGLE MAN.
5 2 SUPER FORTUNE (G065) Shifted out at the start and bumped IMA SINGLE MAN.
6 9 BEAUTY GLORY (E459) No report.
7 1 ENTERPRISE ATTACK (H340) Near the 100 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of ACE VICTORY to secure clear running when ACE VICTORY gave ground quickly in front. After the race, K Teetan reported that he was instructed to hold a midfield position. He said when caught wide in the early stages and with no prospect of going forward and obtaining cover, he elected to come back to obtain cover and as a result settled further back than what he had intended.
8 8 PARTERRE (E234) Shortly after the start was crowded between BEAUTY GLORY and ORIENTAL SMOKE which shifted in.
9 6 SUNNY DARLING (J171) No report.
10 4 ACE VICTORY (H076) After the race, C L Chau reported that his mount made a respiratory noise during the running of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. The performance of ACE VICTORY was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, ACE VICTORY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
11 7 ORIENTAL SMOKE (E467) Bumped on the hindquarters shortly after the start. After the race, H Bentley reported that whilst his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover from the 800 Metres, it was still somewhat disappointing in that it failed to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 5 SUMMIT CHEERS (E221) After the race, A Atzeni reported that his mount failed to travel at any stage of the event and gave ground quickly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
