3 12 CITIZEN KANE (BV260) W C Marwing TT1 Jumped awkwardly but soon recovered to be in touch. Took lead 900 M out. Kept on well in straight despite being outsprinted by the first pair in the closing stages.
4 6 MAN OF HONOUR (BS267) E Legrix H Always there. 2nd rounding home bend. Ran on well upon straightening. Had every chance but was unable to match speed with placed horses in the closing stages.

8 10 DANZIGHILL (BN190) F Coetzee TT Soon led. Headed 900 M. 3rd turning in. Kept on without quickening in straight.
9 8 KENWOOD MELODY (BV014) C Brown -- Soon towards rear. Took closer order along rail to be in midfield turning in. Held up final 200 M and could not be ridden out in the run to the post.

11 11 SPECIAL (BP114) W Woods -- Midfield or better. Steady progress rounding home bend to be in touch turning in. Kept on until weakened final 200 M.
12 3 BILLION WIN (BP218) J Egan -- Behind midfield or worse. Awkwardly placed at 600 M. Baulked repeatedly in home straight. Not tested out.
