8 LIBERAL'S KNIGHT (CE272) B Prebble -- Jumped with them, niggled along to go forward, raced 3 wide midfield without cover 4Ls away, always working in run, moved up to be 2Ls away on turn, went on with the job in good style to score a solid win.
3 LUCKY PARADISE (CB441) C Soumillon -- Average to begin, lacked early speed and drifted back to last on rail 8Ls away, ridden along to keep touch throughout, made run between horses in straight, made up good ground when clear to pass all but winner.
9 GENKI KING (CD309) F Coetzee TT Bounced out well, pressed forward to cross to rails, raced behind leaders throughout 2Ls away, bumped when trying to angle clear on turn and became unbalanced, did well to get going again and hold on for 3rd.
12 GOLDEN CARE (CD188) C Munce B/TT Away well, pushed on from wide alley, raced keenly early and took up spot outside leader applying pressure, rolled to lead entering straight and held advantage until 200 M but couldn't keep going after early burn.
1 EXPECTATIONS (CD078) H W Lai SR Jumped fairly, pushed along to hold midfield position, 3 wide with cover 5Ls from speed throughout, made run coming to outside at top of straight, closed race off well to be closest at finish.
10 HELENE ELEGANCE (CB004) M W Leung B-/PC2/TT Amongst the first to get going, restrained to race just off speed in 1 out 1 back spot, raced 2 wide, 3Ls away to turn, kept giving until 100 M but unable to finish off in order to threaten.
4 FLASHING STAR (CC018) D Dunn -- First to break, took up position 3 back on rails 3 to 4Ls off pace, never really happy in mid-section, off bit on turn, kept on at same pace in straight and lacked extra gear to be a factor.
2 FIFTY FIFTY (CD131) G Mosse TT Awkward to begin, hard ridden to chase early, raced 4 back on fence 6 to 7Ls from speed, under pressure on turn, stuck to paint in straight but made no impact when rearward.
6 ENGINEERING WONDER (CB300) Y T Cheng -- Slow to begin, couldn't go early and drifted back to 2nd last, raced off track 7Ls from pace, swung 5 wide into straight, never likely in run home and only held ground to line.
7 JOLLY GOOD FORTUNE (CD274) C W Wong B Away with rest, driven hard to cross to lead, taken on and kept them going at good clip, under severe pressure turning for home, early effort took its toll and weakened right out in straight.
11 ZAVONE (CG036) G Schofield -- Slow to begin, settled in rearward division, 3 wide 6Ls from leaders, always working in middle stages, kept on with a 4 wide run on turn but soon weakened to be well beaten.
