2 3 CONGRATULATION (CH032) E Saint-Martin -- Useful beginning, settled with trail just off speed, raced 1 out 1 back in mid section 2Ls away, held up between horses to 200 M, closed nicely when in clear to easily hold second, promising debut.
3 10 HAPPY MASTER (CE050) R Fradd SR Out with them, lacked early speed and soon faded to midfield, raced 2 wide 4 to 5Ls away, back in pack on turning in, had clear running from 250 M and closed off well without threatening winner.
4 4 JOY AND FUN (CH014) M Odendaal -- Broke nicely, went on with job from wide alley, posted 3 and 4 wide just off leaders, always working and was 2Ls down on turning in, couldn't pick up with first few but stuck on nicely to make frame given hard run.
5 12 SUPER GOAL MASTER (CG220) S Dye TT Slow to begin, urged along to hold rearward spot, raced on rails 6 to 7Ls off them throughout, still had field in front on turn, made ground in behind horses and didn't get crack until 200 M. Closed steadily thereafter.
6 5 LASER TIGER (CG251) B Prebble -- Fast to begin, pressed on to assume role outside leaders, travelled well 1 to 2Ls away, still prominent rounding turn, made run with winner at 200 M but fitness gave out and couldn't match them over concluding stages.
7 1 ISLAND SPEED (CG202) A Delpech -- Standard break, niggled along to take up forward spot, couldn't get to front and forced to race 3Ls back on rails, in traffic and hanging in straight, had chance to follow winner but couldn't find when clear.
8 8 BIG KAHUNA (CG177) O Doleuze -- Average jump, attempted to take closer order, finished up 3 wide 4Ls away in midfield, always wide with trail to turn, tracked nicely at 400 M, was one paced when let down and finished off at same speed.
9 9 GLOBAL LEADER (CG048) G Mosse -- Fair to leave gates, urged along to assume position 4 to 5Ls down on rails off midfield, followed rails into straight, made up some ground before steadied when ran closed at 200 M, offered nothing thereafter.
10 14 WITHALLMYHEART (CE268) W M Lai B/TT Swift to hit ground, pressed on to eventually work to front, allowed stride at good clip, 2Ls clear to bend, held advantage to 250 M, couldn't find when the pressure went on and weakened out tamely.
11 6 PURE ALPHA (CH008) M W Leung -- Slow to begin, soon settled towards rear, raced 2 wide 6 to 7Ls off front runners, had wall of horses in front on turn, angled 3 and 4 wide into clear at 350 M, only finished moderately when clear running presented.
12 13 CHOSEN ONE (CD347) Y T Cheng B2 Began with line, lacked early dash, drifted back to worse than midfield, raced 3 wide 6Ls off them in middle stages, swung 5 wide into straight, made no impression over the concluding stages.
13 7 SAFETY FIRST (CG161) S K Sit P/H Slow to begin, raced at tail from outset, on rails 10Ls from front runners, struggling to keep up on bend, was one paced in straight only passing a tired runner in run to line.
14 11 LUCKY MAN (CG061) D Nikolic SR-/B1 Average break, ridden up to find closer spot, posted 4 wide without cover in run, always working wide 3Ls away, not far off them on turn, capitulated badly in straight to be well beaten.
