9 INSPIRATION (CG111) H W Lai -- Fast to begin, lead them easily, did some work when pressured, rolled along at good clip to bend, kicked 1L clear on turning, showed good dash to set rivals a task and fought off late challenge for solid win.
8 BEAR MACHO (CG152) D Whyte -- Began well, unable to slot in from wide alley, posted 3 wide in midfield 4Ls away, always working wide with cover, rolled forward on bend, came with big run but workload told last bit and unable to overhaul leader.
11 MONEY MAN (CG115) F Coetzee B1 Broke nicely, pushed up to challenge for early lead, took trail behind leader and had run of race to turn, angled into clear passing 400 M, chased hard but run ended at 150 M, fought on well for place.
2 THUNDER DANCING (CG250) O Doleuze B1/TT Jumped only fairly, drifted back to tail 7Ls off pace, raced 2 wide travelling well to bend, angled 3 wide and came 5 wid into straight, closed race off hard down centre of track to make frame.
10 KIMBERLEY MINES (CA367) M W Leung -- Out well, raced prominently early, drifted back to midfield on bend 2 wide 3Ls away, in between horses on turning, kept finding in straight and closed off evenly without threatening winner.
4 PICKETT (CG155) Y T Cheng SR Average to break, didn't show much early speed, raced worse than midfield 3 wide 5Ls away, tracked wide with cover on bend, angled out and closed steadily last furlong to be nearest on line.
3 TOWN OF DRAGON (CH060) R Fradd -- Broke only fairly, restrained to race at rear, settled on rails 8Ls off pace, travelled well enough at tail to turn, came wide with field to beat into straight, made good ground down outside before run ended at 100 M.
5 GENERAL KINGY (CB039) S K Sit B Bounced out well, couldn't go early speed but did enough to hold spot on rails in midfield, raced 3 to 4Ls away, travelled well to bend, stuck to rails but couldn't go with them when they sprinted closing off at same speed.
12 GALBRAITH (CG022) S Dye B Tardy to begin, ridden up but finished up no better than midfield, 2 wide 5Ls away racing greenly throughout, not comfortable between horses on bend, well back on turning in and failed to run on. (Mucopus, see Racing Incidents.)
13 HAPPY ELITE (CD306) M Nunes TT Average to break, raced on rails 5Ls away behind midfield, had easy time in mid-section, still back between horses on turning, hung in and proved difficult to ride in straight but never really going well enough and battled away.
6 DREAM HORSE (CG029) C K Tong TT Began with them, showed good speed to press on in search of lead, applied plenty of pressure outside of leader, shared front to turn, began to struggle at 300 M, unable to respond at business end and faded out late.
7 MUTUAL FRIENDSHIP (CG260) D Nikolic TT1 Standard beginning, raced ungenerously early and settled next to last on rails 7 to 8Ls away, still well back on turning, stuck to rails in straight, only held ground making little impression in run to line.
1 HAR HAR CHARMS (CE100) G Mosse -- Bounced out well, didn't have enough speed to cross, slotted in to 1 out 1 back spot by midpoint, had easy time thereafter, eased out on turning, steadied at 350 M, recovered but couldn't find extra gear and faded out.
