3 WINNING REWARD (CE254) E Saint-Martin B Out with rest, couldn't go early pace and ended up 4 back on fence 5Ls away in midfield, had good trip with fast speed on, stuck to rail saving ground turning in, hit top gear at 150 M and dashed away to score easily.
1 POCKET MONEY (CE253) D Whyte B Moderate break, restrained to race in rear division on rails 6-7Ls back, had an easy time in mid-section, tracked eventual winner on bend, went back to inside and made good ground by easily held by winner.
10 STILTON (CG173) M Nunes CP Reasonable jump out, elected to take a sit behind speed, had run of race 3Ls back on rails, tracked first few on bend, eased into space turning in and lead past 200 M but couldn't dash again and lost 2nd late.
4 WHIPLASH (CG072) C K Tong B1 Average beginning, pressed on wide but forced to restrain from widest alley, raced 2-wide behind midfield, appreciated fast speed 5-6Ls away, still back on turning, switched out and closed off evenly to make frame.
11 SPACED (CG034) Y T Cheng TT First to hit ground, rolled on to take up 1 out 1 back spot 3Ls off lead, had reasonable trip camped off pace to bend, dream run opened turning and threatened at 200 M but was just one-paced final furlong.
7 ENCHANTED (CE065) A Delpech SR Began in line, pushed on but had to slot in behind them, ended up in midfield 5Ls away, suited by speed on and improved coming 3-wide on bend, switched out in straight and closed steadily without threatening.
9 NOBLE SILENCE (CD238) K L Chui -- Slow by 3, rearward as usual, lobbed along at tail 2-wide 7-8Ls off pace, helped by tempo, made a 3-wide run from Rock, came very wide on bend but made plenty of ground up in straight from an impossible spot.
12 MASTER DREAMER (CE293) S K Sit B Standard jump out, failed to muster and back with last few racing 2-wide 7Ls away, suited by fast tempo, came 3-wide on circle, swung wide in straight, made some ground but couldn't pair back margin in stretch.
2 CLASSA WIN (CA115) H W Lai B Ordinarily away, shared rear 8Ls back on rails, not disadvantaged by position with speed on, still well back on bend, passed a few tired runners along inside in straight but made little impression.
8 BRILLIANT TREASURE (CH045) S Dye -- Out well, surprised a few when kicking up to hold lead, kept a solid speed on 1/2L clear throughout, kicked 1L clear turning in but folded tamely at 200 M when workload took effect. Dropped out late.
6 FRIENDSHIP (CE066) C W Wong -- Began nicely, rolled on in search of top end, posted 3-wide without cover for most of middle stages, had a hard run with speed on, did plenty to bend, there to 200 M but didn't finish off after hard run. (See Racing Incidents.)
5 DREAM HORSE (CG029) B Prebble XB/TT Amongst first few to leave gates, pushed on to challenge for the lead, couldn't cross and raced outside leader, always working with speed on, under pressure on turning, gave in quickly and faded last 200 M.
