11 INSPIRATION (CG111) K T Yeung XB First to hit ground, crossed comfortably and eased to take trail on leaders back, had dream trip to bend, 1L back turning in, accelerated nicely to take front at 150 M, went on with it to score with ease in good time.
4 ULTRA FANTASY (CG311) M Nunes B Amongst first few to break, assumed role first without cover 2-wide 2Ls back, not pressured in run, gradually improved on turning, kept to task well in straight grabbing 2nd late. No match for winner.
2 FRIENDLY GAINS (CG300) O Doleuze -- Began well, showed plenty of early dash to cross to front from widest alley, kept tempo reasonable and led by 1 to 2Ls to bend, kicked again on turning and just ran out off steam last 150 M. Good effort given workload.
7 TIGER PRAWN (CG279) A Delpech -- Amongst them to leave, took a midfield spot on rails when outpaced, raced 4Ls back with an easy trip to bend, in traffic turning in, pushed into clear at 200 M and finished off nicely to make frame.
1 SPECIAL KING PRAWN (CD212) K L Chui TT Out with line, didn't have pace to match them and faded to be behind midfield, raced on rails 6Ls back, used little and saved ground on bend, back in traffic and lost run on turning, finished nicely when clear last 150 M.
9 CONGRATS (CG298) Y T Cheng SR- Tardy to begin, outpaced from outset, raced at rear on rails 7 to 8Ls back, not asked in mid-section, still at rear on turning, saved ground sticking to rails and warmed up last 200 M to be closest at finish.
3 LUCKY WINNER (CE124) C K Tong TT Jumped nicely, urged along but had to settle with a spot 3 back on rails, had run of race to bend, inside run opened but couldn't find extra gear and just battled away at the same speed in home stretch.
5 HONGKONG SUPERSTAR (CH167) D Whyte B/TT1 Jumped with them, faded into midfield, raced keenly in 2-wide line 4Ls off pace, still 4Ls down in 6th on turning, gap opened but just appeared one-paced in straight plugging away to line.
6 NOBLE MAN (CC099) F Coetzee -- Standard getaway, assumed expected role in rearward division, raced 2-wide 5-6Ls back, eased 3-wide on circle, 5Ls back in 8th swinging wide turning in, didn't have usual finish and just battled last 200 M.
10 GRAND CRU (CG265) D Nikolic B-/V1 Slowly into stride and settled in last spot, raced 8Ls back but made a 3-wide run passing Rock, came 4 and 5-wide on bend and made a little ground in straight (inconvenienced 200 M) but set too great a task.
12 ROYAL PERICLES (CH050) E Saint-Martin B/XB Away with rest, trapped 3-wide in midfield from an awkward alley, did it tough without cover 4 to 5Ls back, still working on bend and under pressure 500 M after straightening, faded out of it late.
8 CHEERFUL MASTER (CE309) W M Lai B/TT Ordinary getaway and soon towards rear, raced 2-wide 7 to 8Ls back with last few, didn't use much but steadily tracked up behind them on bend, found little under pressure and offered little run home.
