1 SOUTH BREEZE (CG241) G Mosse -- No pace from outset, drifted back to race behind midfield, posted 3 wide 7 to 8Ls off solid pace, work without cover 6Ls down turning, came to middle, gradually narrowed gap hitting top gear last 200 M to win easily.
7 FLORAL NIRVANA (CH232) B Prebble TT Began only fairly, raced in midfield 5Ls off solid pace in 2 wide position, suited by pace on, not asked to improve until leaving bend, came with a strong run to hit front at 200 M but couldn't match run of winner last 100 M.
12 PALETTE THE BEST (CH151) D Whyte B Amongst last away in line, ended up towards rear in 2 wide line, 9Ls off speed, aided by tempo in mid-section, improved between horses on bend, only got going last 250 M and made good progress despite still appearing green.
13 WONDERFUL BLESSING (CE198) K L Chui TT Reasonable jump, raced in midfield 4Ls back in running line, travelled well in run, same margin back turning, came with run to hit lead at 350 M, couldn't go with others last 200 M just maintaining same pace to line.
3 NASA PEARL (CC068) O Doleuze P- Ordinary beginning, raced in rearward division 7 to 8Ls back on rails, spent little in run, helped by fast tempo, improved to be 4Ls or so back turning, held up at 300 M, closed race off evenly once clear.
5 MAVERICK (CE199) W M Lai TT Even break, ended up 7Ls away in running line, suited by pace and took rails spot on circle, eased out turning but lacked usual close and just held ground in run to line.
10 PRIME TARGET (CH242) G Boss -- No pace from jump, taken back to rails to race 9Ls away, had a soft trip with solid sections, saved ground on rails, well back turning, made some progress to 200 M but flattened out thereafter.
6 RIGHT FRAAR (CE024) F Coetzee B No speed in early stages and allowed to settle at tail, raced 10 or more lengths away, suited by solid splits in middle stages, set a task when still last into straight, passed a few weakening runners late.
11 UNIQUE SPEED (CG134) M W Leung V Had enough dash to be prominent early, raced on leaders back, did work under solid pace, right there turning in, began to struggle to find extra at business end and faded last 200 M.
9 HOLIGAN (CH003) Z Purton B/TT Back with last few soon after jumping, shared rear 10Ls or more from lead, helped by fast tempo, still well back rounding for home, only past tired runners in straight.
8 ON SHAN BRAVE (CH230) K Shea SR/V Out with first few, raced outside leader at solid tempo, did plenty of work in run 1L down rounding bend, had nothing to offer when they dashed again and weakened tamely.
4 LUCKY MONEY (CE159) Y T Cheng -- Slowly away, regathered and drove through pace to end up in 1 out 1 back slot, did share of work 2 to 3Ls back behind pace, niggled turning but had nothing when asked. Dropped right out.
2 INDUSTRIAL SUCCESS (CC317) C K Tong V1 Showed abundant pace to lead easily, ran them along at a genuine speed, held a length advantage turning, found nothing when challenged at 300 M and weakened quickly.
