2 WHIPLASH (CG072) D Beadman -- Well enough to begin, raced 1 out 1 back early, had ideal run trailing pace 2 to 3Ls back, improved 3 wide at 500 M, came with measured sprint down middle claiming them late for an overdue win.
12 MASTER CRISTO (CH321) H W Lai -- Fast away, crossed to rails and elected for a trail, had an easy run, improved 2 wide at 600 M, 1/2L down on turning, kept to task well overhauling leader but couldn't hold out finish of winner.
3 GLENEALY STAR (CH284) Y T Cheng -- Showed early speed, worked across to take up running, backed off pace to suit, 1L clear on circle, still held 1/2L advantage at 400 M, headed but fought on strongly to hold placing.
5 LIFELINE RAPIDE (CD204) K T Yeung TT Well enough away, ended up in nice spot 3Ls back on fence, had easy time in mid-section, lacked a turn of foot at 400 M, got going late to make frame.

11 BRILLIANT TREASURE (CH045) F Coetzee -- Fairly away, slotted into a midfield role, 4Ls back in two wide line, had a reasonable trip to bend, stuck on at same pace in stretch to be closest at finish.

1 WISE LOVER (CE095) W M Lai B Slow into stride, ended up 7 to 8Ls back at rear racing 2 wide, suited early but not helped when pace slackened on circle, had job to do at 400 M, made even progress from impossible spot.
9 ALL TIME HIGH (CG285) K L Chui CP/XB/TT Out in line, pressed on 3 wide to race close to lead, still wide without cover on bend, kept working 1 to 2Ls back on turning, struggled to find extra when they sprinted and simply battled late.
4 HORSE WIN WIN (CJ078) M Nunes -- Taken back from a wide alley, ended up 3 wide behind midfield 6Ls away, forced 4 wide on circle, same margin down on bend, didn't finish off as usual, just struggling to line.
6 NICE KING (CG147) G Boss B2 Average jump, assured a midfield spot 4Ls back, not asked throughout, pushed along at 400 M, failed to lift and struggled final 300 M just battling in finish.
7 SUPER SNIPPETS (CG217) M Du Plessis B Lost considerable ground at start, chased to catch field, raced 3 wide 8 to 9Ls back, covered ground on bend, still well back on leaving circle, unable to close off as usual and plodded late (not comfortable on surface).
