3 4 MY LUCK (CE256) Y T Cheng B/XB Bounced out, pushed on to take up running, set a steady tempo in mid-section before challenged by horses outside lifted speed to turn, tackled in earnest at 200 M, kept to task creditably to hold placing.
4 6 CHINA HERO (CH040) Z Purton -- Away nicely, assumed spot on leaders back, had soft run when pace steadied, saved ground to bend, kept on well behind horses along inside to make frame.
5 3 HERE WE GO (CH247) K L Chui B-/TT Well enough away, slotted into prime position 1 out 1 back, had ideal run throughout, still 1 to 2Ls down on turning, stayed on well in behind horses without looking a threat.
6 8 BEST POWER (CG006) D Whyte B/TT Little early pace, settled 4 to 5Ls back on rails, had an easy time in mid-section, made good progress 3-wide on bend, did best work late down middle making good ground to be nearest on line.
7 2 PRIME TARGET (CH242) C K Tong -- Slow into stride, ended up 4 to 5Ls back in running line, made a 3-wide run at 600 M when pace dropped off, level with leaders 3-wide at bend, kept on nicely to 100 M when run ended.
8 10 SOLAR POWER (CE047) D Beadman TT Even jump, took a position 3-4Ls back on fence, had a cheap trip, in behind horses on turning, lost run at 200 M, got going again late but could find no clear room. Not fully tested.
9 9 FORTUNE WARRIOR (CD096) O Doleuze -- Not early pace as usual, ended up 6Ls back on fence, angled 2-wide at 600 M, improved 3-wide on bend, came widest in straight, made moderate headway from impossible spot.
10 7 FIRST BABY (CG170) F Coetzee TT Out in line, ended up slotting into midfield 4 to 5Ls away in running line, in traffic and held up on turning, clear from 200 M and didn't let down, just held ground late.
11 11 SIR LAGO (CH268) G Boss B Ordinary getaway, raced 6Ls back in a 2-wide line, always rearward until making a 3-wide move at 600 M, quickly circled 4-wide challenging on bend, soon emptied at 200 M and plugged late.
