5 BRILLIANT ONE (CG212) D Whyte -- Jumped well, settled nicely in mid-division with cover about 3Ls back, cruising rounding the bend, gradually improved on the inside under hands and heels, hit front 100 M, ran on to score comfortably.
10 SUPER GOAL MASTER (CG220) Z Purton B/TT Away in line, didn't have much early speed and assumed a spot towards the rear, 4 to 5Ls to make up on leader as they turned, surged after bumping into clear 250 M out, made good ground to take 2nd.
11 TREASURE RAIDERS (CE049) M Du Plessis -- Taken back from a wide barrier, soon ended up in rear racing detached, urged along on the turn, made a strong run down the centre of course to finish closest at the line.
12 GALACTIC TACTIC (CH095) C K Tong -- Even jump, took up spot just off pace on rails 2Ls back, had a smooth run to bend, made even progress in the straight but unable to match the first three.
3 LUCKY WINNER (CE124) E Saint-Martin TT Broke nicely, soon took up running on rails at a steady tempo, travelled comfortably on turning, attempted to make all but was headed 100 M out, weakened over the concluding stages.
6 MY LUCK (CE256) W M Lai XB Began well, positioned 2-wide in midfield 2Ls back, had good trail to bend, checked at crucial stage near 300 M, regathered and made up ground inside final 200 M.
8 LUCKY FRUIT (CG026) Y T Cheng B Swiftly away, pressed on to race 3 wide alongside leaders without cover. Did work in run, unable to pick up under pressure, ran home one-paced.
4 WIN-A-LOT (CJ124) O Doleuze XB Began awkwardly, dropped out next to last 5Ls off pace, came wide on turning, made little in home straight passing tired runners only.
7 SUNSHINE BOY (CJ281) C W Wong -- Standard beginning, took up rail position in midfield 4Ls behind leader, had relatively quiet time throughout, kept to inside on straightening but unable to quicken up, needed the experience.
1 CLASSIC NAVIGATOR (CD330) P H Lo TT Good break, took up a prominent role, travelled within a length of leader at a moderate tempo, unable to go with them early in straight, folded 200 M out and dropped off quickly over the concluding stages.
2 GRAND COMMANDS (CD300) K L Chui SR/TT Reasonable jump, pressed on to hold a midfield spot 4Ls back 3-wide, under pressure entering home straight, never able to challenge, simply plugged home last 200 M.
9 GAUCHO (CE033) K T Yeung TT Resented being restrained and difficult to settle in early stages, travelled in mid-division 4 wide and without cover, over-raced in back straight, struggled on turning, dropped out early in straight. (Jockey's tactics questioned.)
