3 1 KINGS FALCON (CJ185) W C Marwing H Began with rest, angled into a trailing spot 4 to 5Ls away in running line, had a fair run in mid-section, 3Ls down turning, took gap between horses at 300 M and dashed strongly keeping on for a solid 3rd.
4 3 FLEET COMMAND (CK077) G Mosse -- Restrained from a wide gate, ended up at rear 9 to 10Ls off pace, not suited in mid-section, saved ground on fence on bend, took inside runs and made solid progress along inside to make frame.
5 6 ROMA PEGASUS (CK115) B Prebble -- Angled back from an awkward draw, raced 6Ls or so away on rails, pace not to suit to bend, lost run on turning, into clear running at 350 M, closed nicely making ground to be nearest on line.
6 12 VIGOR DELIGHT (CK070) S Dye H1 No speed from jump, ended up 4Ls away on rails, used nothing in run, took inside runs turning and right in mix at 300 M, just peaked on efforts final furlong.
7 14 QUICK TOUCH (CJ196) Y T Cheng -- Standard getaway, and lost further ground, ridden up to hold a 1 out 1 back position, 2Ls down on bend and suited by steady pace, right there turning, hit lead briefly at 300 M, peaked on run at 200 M just held ground late.
8 10 LEGEND OF COLOUR (CK003) Z Purton B Allowed to drift back from a wide gate, ended up 8 to 9Ls back in running line, improved 3 wide with steady pace on bend, circled 5 wide turning, kept coming in straight to be closest at finish.
9 2 UNIQUE JEWELLERY (CH196) D Whyte -- Fastest out, took hold when unable to get close raced 3 wide 2Ls away, travelled fairly with steady pace, bumped turning, lacked usual finish and just held ground in run to line. ("Raced flat".)
10 13 INTERCHINA STAR (CJ226) H W Lai CP Began with first few, elected for a trail on leaders back, used little throughout with steady speed, left behind when they dashed turning, gradually faded out in straight.
11 11 ROMPING (CK038) B Doyle B Reasonable jump, forced to angle back into 3 wide line to get cover, raced 3 wide 6Ls away with trial pace against and raced keenly on bend, didn't let down when they sprinted and plodded late.
12 5 ARION OF CHIU TON (CK136) W M Lai -- Good getaway, pressed on but unable to slot in, forced to travel 3 wide without cover, did work despite slow speed, tired soon after straightening.
13 7 SUNNY GOLF (CH138) M Du Plessis XB/TT Began nicely, took up lead comfortably, controlled pace to suit with leisurely sections, difficult to settle on bend and hung to turn, found little at business end and gradually lost touch.
14 8 ENERGIZED (CK135) J Victoire -- Even jump, went on to race outside leader, had an easy time with steady pace, still there but struggling on turning and soon dropped right out.
