4 EGYPTIAN RA (CE002) F Coetzee TT Well enough away, ridden forward and took it up passing 1000 M, had 2Ls in hand coming off the bend, kept on gamely under pressure to hold off GOOD BA BA's late challenge. A remarkable performance.
1 GOOD BA BA (CE201) C Soumillon TT Behind midfield 6 to 7Ls off the pace, had to switch outside for a clear run near 300 M, finished the race strongly over a distance that might be a shade short of his best, but full credit to the winner.
6 FELLOWSHIP (CG292) Z Purton TT Patiently settled in a rearward spot 8Ls back, taken wide to challenge on straightening, showed a fine change of pace and made up plenty of ground from 350 M.
13 SIGHT WINNER (CJ049) B Doyle -- Broke well, travelled in a midfield spot along the fence, gradually angled out making the turn, couldn't find the extra gear but stayed on well enough towards the end.
3 ARMADA (CE246) E Saint-Martin -- Broke well, settled in midfield under restraint, took time to gather on straightening before finding his stride inside final 200 M. Posed little threat but a respectable effort after a 3 month break.
2 SACRED KINGDOM (CG268) O Doleuze TT Taken back on jumping from a wide barrier, waited with in 2nd last trailing 10Ls to the leader, swung wide into straight, came with a serious challenge down the outside but his run ended passing 200 M and got tired close home.
8 DIM SUM (CH226) J Winks B Rolled forward to take up the early running till 1000 M, in a perfect spot to strike turning in, kept giving but unable to close the gap on the leader, gave ground from 200 M and was swamped over the concluding stages.
12 RIVER JORDAN (CG194) G Mosse TT In midfield throughout, had a smooth run along the rail, ran on OK when asked but unable to pose any serious challenge.
10 SUNNY POWER (CG203) B Prebble CP Difficult to settle down the back straight, raced in a better than midfield position not far off the pace, responded only fairly under a vigorous ride and stayed on at the same pace to the line.
11 SUNNY KING (CH105) D Beadman XB/H/TT Travelled 3-wide without cover in mid-division, had 6Ls to make up passing 400 M, couldn't pick up when asked and was beaten near 200 M.
9 JOY AND FUN (CH014) Y T Cheng CP Assumed a position close to the pace, raced 3-wide without cover from 800 M, kept on OK in straight but could find no extra inside final 150 M.
7 GREEN BIRDIE (CH245) W C Marwing -- Given a waiting ride at the back, caught wide turning and was 10Ls away in a very unpromising position coming off the bend, ran on one-paced in straight.
5 ENTHUSED (CH303) D Whyte -- Rolled along the fence and held a prominent spot just behind leader, switched to 2-wide turning, appeared to travel well throughout but found nothing when asked, gave ground from 250 M.
