4 HAPPY ZERO (CK079) D Beadman XB1/H Bounced out, elected to take trail 1 out 1 back 2Ls behind lead, always travelling comfortably in run, cruised up on turning, took lead at 250 M, didn't quicken as intimated but responded under hard riding late to score narrowly.
10 IRON FIST (CH143) K T Yeung TT Fastest out, pressed on to challenge for front, kept early speed honest, sat 1L back in mid-section, lay down challenge to leader turning, headed by eventual winner at 250 M, fought bravely to go down by small margin.
9 PRESTO (CJ048) D Whyte -- Standard jump, allowed to drift back from an awkward alley ended up best part of 8Ls down, shifted to rails on circle, saved ground turning, kept closing but unable to wear down first two late.
3 FLEET COMMAND (CK077) J Lloyd -- Away fairly, ended up in midfield 6Ls back, improved 3 wide on circle despite overracing, gradually made progress between horses to 200 M, unable to get closer but was nearest on line.
1 FRIENDLY GAINS (CG300) B Prebble -- Plenty of early speed, kicked through to lead but had to work to do so, held a 1L advantage on bend, kept to task well on turning but run ended at 250 M and didn't see out trip.
11 WALKONTHEWILDSIDE (CG033) M Du Plessis -- Drifted back as usual from widest alley, positioned 10Ls away and aided by early pace, raced between horses in running line on circle made some minor late headway without threatening.
8 KING ENCOSTA (CG247) Z Purton B1/TT Tardy into stride, settled at rear 10Ls off speed, had even run on rails with speed on, still last turning with job to do, made some late ground along inside.
14 FLORAL EL CUENTO (CJ241) S K Sit B Moderate jump, assumed a midfield role 5Ls or so back in running line, not used in middle stages, switched out turning but lacked extra gear, just battled away at same speed late.
2 WATCH WHAT HAPPENS (CH145) J Winks -- Standard getaway, ended up 4Ls back in running line in front of midfield, proved difficult to settle in mid-section, looked a minor place chance at top of straight but failed to go on last furlong.
6 MY CHOICE (CC283) M L Yeung B Out with rest, pressed on but posted 3 wide without cover 3Ls back, used too much in mid-section, same margin back on turning, faded inside 200 M.
5 HIGH POINT (CH215) K C Leung -- Ordinary beginning and angled back from outside draw, posted 3 wide at rear 10Ls off lead, did work but had cover throughout, still well back turning, just passed tired runners late.
13 WHATABOB (CD213) C W Wong SR/TT Moderate jump, ridden up to be first behind lead on rails 4Ls away, easy time in mid-section, niggled turning, didn't respond and simply battled in run to line.
7 TOM'S SIX (CG264) W M Lai B Began with rest, ended up 3 wide in midfield 5Ls from leaders, enjoyed a trail in middle stages, crept closer leaving turn, switched wide but didn't let down and gradually weakened out.
