1 1 SPECIAL DAYS (CH236) D Whyte -- Allowed to slide back from an awkward alley, ended up 6 to 7Ls back, shifted 3 wide with cover at top bend, 4 wide turning and let down with strong sprint at 350 M, hit lead at 200 M, kept on to score nicely.
2 5 ROMA PEGASUS (CK115) B Prebble -- Out in line, ended up 5Ls away in midfield on rails, settled better than previous runs, used little in middle stages, clear soon a few turning and kept to task well chasing gamely for 2nd.
3 3 FEARLESS (CH301) W C Marwing B No early speed and allowed to fade back, shared rear 8Ls or so from top end, helped by reasonable tempo, 3 wide with cover on circle, made nice ground from well back to take place.
4 4 MR MEDICI (CK218) E Saint-Martin -- Reasonable break, had an easy time 4Ls away on rails, consevered energy to bend, held up behind horses from 400 M to 200 M, made nice ground when clear and unlucky not to place.
5 6 GEM OF CHIU TON (CJ188) O Doleuze -- Tardy into stride, ended up 7Ls or so away on rails, helped by even tempo, well back, took gaps turning and chased gamely making good ground to 100 M before becoming unbalanced and losing action. (See Racing Incidents.)
6 9 REAL SPECIAL (CH320) M Du Plessis XB Awkwardly away, ended up best part of 8Ls away sharing rear, aided by speed but still well back to bend, shifted widest turning and closed soundly down middle making many lengths to be nearest on line.
7 11 GALLANT CHAMPION (CJ002) K C Leung V/TT Reasonable break, pushed forward to take spot 1 out 1 back, used a bit on speed, there to 200 M but didn't find extra turn of foot, just plugged away late.
8 14 PRINCE KALAMOUN (CK178) W M Lai CP Slow into stride, ended up behind midfield 6Ls away in running line, back in pack in middle stages, just kept on between horses in straight lacking the extra gear to factor.
9 10 LU YUE (CH278) C W Wong B/H Showed usual pace to work forward in search of front, eventually took over at top bend, did plenty of early work, kept on to 200 M before tiring when workload took toll.
10 2 CALIFORNIAMOUNTAIN (CG310) M Chadwick TT First to break, pressed on to race behind leader raced 2Ls back but forced to use some petrol on speed, held up behind them to 200 M, only produced a moderate effort when clear.
11 8 TOP HONOR (CE183) J Winks -- No early speed, drifted back to race 7Ls away in 2 wide line, aided by even speed on, still in rear division on turn, made no real progress in straight.
12 12 SPECIAL DRAGON (CH325) H W Lai TT Plenty of early speed, crossed to lead but continuously pressured by outside horse, relinquished lead at top bend still there on turning, emptied at 200 M and faded out after doing too much.
13 7 GALAXY TREASURE (CK220) J Lloyd B/TT Bounced out, restrained from early pace battle to take trail 3Ls back behind pace, shifted at 700 M, same margin down turning, struggled when pressured and dropped out tamely.
14 13 AMPLE GAINS (CE021) P H Lo B/TT Standard jump, ridden along to take a prominent spot, ended up no closer than midfield 3 wide with cover, did too much work to bend, faded right out in straight.
