8 12 CLASSA (CK267) H W Lai -- Raced wide just worse than midfield, held up for a run early in straight, improving under pressure when tightened again late near finish thus not ridden out fully.
9 1 NEVER LOOK BACK (CJ043) K C Leung -- Settled well behind, remained same into straight, finished off race well down centre of track, never nearer.
10 14 CLEMENT ELITE (CH004) T H So XB Travelled in midfield, kept on early in straight until finding no extra inside final 200 M.
11 6 PRIME CHAMPION (CK128) B Prebble -- Raced prominently and without cover far side, trailed the leader around the bend, gradually weakened after straightening, eased inside final 200 M. (Questioned for poor performance.)
12 9 WEI HAI INVINCIBLE (CH258) J Winks CP/TT Began from the widest draw, raced wide without cover in midfield throughout far side and around the bend, soon dropped out after straightening.
