6 FAIR TRADE (CK345) W C Marwing -- Average jump, regathered to drive up into spot behind leader, had run of race thereafter, angled clear on turning, took over passing 200 M, kept to nicely to score with some in reserve.
2 FLEET COMMAND (CK077) J Lloyd B Slow into stride, pushed up along fence in midfield, had an easy time 3 to 4Ls back throughout, followed eventual winner on bend, made a strong challenge inside 200 M, got close but winner had a bit in hand.
13 STREET CAT (CK037) M Du Plessis B/TT Began in line, went forward and raced 3 wide with cover 2 to 3Ls off speed, used share of petrol in run, took some time to get going, leaving bend but did best work final 200 M to be right in finish.
5 IRISH JIG (CJ125) D Beadman TT Out nicely, pressed forward to ensure a rails run, forced to race in unfamilar role in front, challenged on circle, kept on to 200 M before run ended, kept on to make frame.
10 GALEN WIN (CJ065) C W Wong CP/XB Showed usual early speed to go forward and race outside leader, challenged inside horse throughout, kept going to 200 M but couldn't lift thereafter and lost touch last bit.
12 LUMINOUS (CE300) M W Leung -- Began well, steadied and drifted right back in first furlong, back and 3 wide 7 to 8Ls back turning, closed soundly down middle to be nearest on line.
3 HIGH POINT (CH215) W M Lai -- Standard jump, ended up 6 to 7Ls away on rails, used little and saved ground on bend, didn't quicken but just kept on at one speed in run to finish.
8 GREAT GUY (CH112) M Chadwick TT Drifted back from an awkward alley, raced best part of 10Ls back on rails, still detached turning, impossible spot at 300 M but closed soundly along inside to be closest at finish.
4 GOLD STRIKER (CD365) J Winks -- Began evenly, took a spot 3 to 4Ls back in midfield, had every chance to bend, pushed into clear on turning, found little in straight.
11 HORACE'S CHOICE (CH169) C K Tong B/H/TT Standard jump, mustered to hold a prominent spot, had nice trail 1 out 1 back in mid-section, right there challenging on turning, in mix to 200 M before run ended soon after.
9 FORTUNE RED PEPPER (CK199) K C Leung CP Began with them, pushed on to race in midfield, was 5Ls back 3 wide with cover throughout, was keen to bend, steadied turning, made no serious progress.
7 LAMBRO (CH083) Z Purton B/TT Moderate beginning, ended up in midfield 5Ls back, had easy time using little to turn, lacked usual finish and just battled away in straight. (Rider reported not comfortable in finish.)
14 TOP NEWS (CK196) S K Sit -- Slow into stride, settled in rear division 8Ls or so from speed, was difficult to settle in middle stages, no response in straight.
