12 FOREVER ELATION (CK215) H W Lai B Began OK, faded back when unable to get in, 8Ls or so away in running line throughout, helped by strong speed, responded well final 300 M to close over top of rivals.
4 CHATER WAY (L093) W C Marwing -- Reasonable break, settled down in midfield 3 wide 7Ls or so away, had cover in mid-section, kept finding in straight and closed soundly but couldn't hold off finish of winner.
5 FIRM OFFER (CE008) G Mosse SR/TT No early pace, back in usual role near to rear 12Ls or more from leaders, aided by strong tempo, saved ground and made remarkable progress in straight to take place.
3 GEM OF CHIU TON (CJ188) M Chadwick B/TT Little speed, raced back with last few, still 10Ls down on circle, gradually wound up and pulled plenty of ground back late to make frame.
2 REDRAGTOABULL (CJ292) D Beadman XB Even getaway, raced 5Ls or so back in front of midfield, had no excuses to bend, kept on in straight without quickening. Sound with weight.
14 DANZULU (CJ069) K C Leung B Faded back from outside alley, more than 12Ls away at rear, helped by strong tempo, under riding from 400 M but really only made useful progress last 200 M when too late.
13 SUNRISE (CK026) B Prebble CP1/H Out in line, midfield 6 to 7Ls back in mid-section, had ideal run with speed on, lacked usual pick up from 400 M and just closed steadily before run ended at 150 M.
11 AMIGO (CK358) D Whyte -- Well enough away, held rails first behind leader, not aided when speed went on, kept improving on bend, held up turning and checked at 200 M, just kept on when finally clear.
9 EL MORRO (CK344) J Winks B/H Began smartly, trailed pace pair, chance harmed with strong pace on, carted field up on bend, didn't go on from 250 M and dropped off thereafter. (Mild blood in trachea.)
6 LAMBRO (CH083) J Victoire B/TT Out in line, pushed on but posted 3 wide without cover 6Ls back, a bit keen and forced to do too much with fast pace on, struggled final 300 M.
10 REGENCY WINNER (CK410) J Lloyd -- Fractious in stalls and awkwardly away, ended up in rear division, had pace on to suit but still well back to bend, didn't find and struggled in straight.
1 SUPERIOR UNIT (CJ045) Z Purton B/TT Amongst first few out, pushed on in search of front, battled for lead and drew well clear of rest, 3 to 4Ls clear at 400 M, stopped quickly final furlong. (Saddle shifted.)
7 BUTTERFIELD (CG178) C K Tong B Awkward jump, regathered to race 4Ls or so away on rails, not asked in mid-section, under pressure turning and faded out in straight.
8 ST FEVRE (L002) K L Chui TT1 Average jump, showed plenty of speed to lead, pressured and drew well clear in battle with outside horse, struggling to keep touch on bend, folded quickly 300 M.
