6 HOLI RAVIOLI (CG201) W Pike -- Jumped well and quickly moved to 4th position, travelled strongly into final straight and responded well under pressure, shook off his nearest pursuer inside 100M and continued on willingly to the line.
10 OSVALDO (CK075) Z Purton B/H/TT Slightly slow out, settled towards the rear about 7Ls back, used little in run to the straight, switched out passing 400M for a very strong finish and came nearest on the line.
3 SUNNY GOLF (CH138) D Beadman XB/TT Even break, raced 5Ls back and 2-wide in mid-division, tracked well to straight, made his move alongside the eventual winner, kept on till weakening final 75M.
4 DANESIS (CH194) K L Chui TT Shaken up early to obtain a midfield spot on the inside 4Ls behind leader, hard driven passing 450M and finished off the race evenly despite drifting out under pressure in closing stages.
7 WATCH WHAT HAPPENS (CH145) J Victoire -- Restrained to a midfield position along the fence but proved difficult to settle in middle stages, angled out to 3-wide over the home turn, held up briefly near 300M before running on for a close 5th.
2 EXCELLENT BOY (CE238) M L Yeung P Towards the rear about 6Ls off the pace, fanned 4-wide into the straight and made his challenge widest, stayed on from off the pace but offered little threat to the leaders.
5 BERIO (CJ202) T H So CP/XB Fractious in stalls and subsequently slow to begin, ridden forward to track leader one off the fence, had his chance but was soon outpaced in straight and quickly swamped passing 200M.
11 DUMBARTON ROCK (CJ228) C K Tong B-/TT Went forward and took hold of a rail position behind leader, loomed up as the main threat turning in, briefly led in straight but unable to sustain run and weakened rapidly final 150M.
8 JOYFUL WINNER (CE045) Y T Cheng -- Not hurried in early stages, settled 2-wide in last pair 8Ls back, lacked a response when asked and never looked dangerous at any stage.
1 SYLLABUS (CD388) J Lloyd B/TT Taken across to the fence behind runners, raced in the rear group throughout, driven passing 400M but no progress. Never a factor.
9 SILVER SUN (CE126) O Doleuze -- Driven out early to overcome a wide draw, led them along at a solid tempo, head 300M then weakened rapidly in the run to the line.
