4 6 FLYING CHAPARRAL (M245) K C Ng SR Showed early speed to cross and lead, set a steady tempo to suit, headed soon after turning and fought on to 100m and lost place in shadows.

7 12 SAMADHI (N200) C Y Ho B Taken back from a wide alley and raced 3 wide just off midfield, 5ls or so back, had cover before making 4 wide run rounding bend, closed off well in circumstances to be nearest at finish.
8 3 SUPER CAGA (CK054) O Doleuze B Ended up 3 wide in midfield with cover, fair run with steady tempo, niggled turning in and just produced a 1 paced finish in straight holding ground in run to line.
9 5 WINNING APEX (N128) T Clark B2 Landed spot in midfield, racing 2 wide 3-4ls back, overaced in mid-section, tracked eventual winner turning but lost spot and forced to come wider, just made even headway late (see racing incidents).
10 13 LUCKY OMENS (P146) M Chadwick TT Restrained form a tricky gate, raced at rear nearly 8ls back, not aided by the speed, made some minor progress along rails in straight.
11 8 CITY POWER (M066) C K Tong B/SR Took up a nice spot on leaders back, all favours with steady speed, lacked a dash at business end and dropped out of contention last 200m.
12 14 TRENDY WIN (P099) Y T Cheng -- Posted 3 wide without cover when unable to slot in, 1-2Ls back doing share of work despite steady tempo, gradually gave ground from turning in when workload took toll.
13 7 OUR MARCUS (P101) M L Yeung -- Raced on Rails in midfield 3ls or so back, overaced in mid section, found little and dropped off tamely final 300m.
