9 SUPER LIFELINE (P158) R Fourie -- Showed speed and took close order, tracked clear leader 3ls away on rails, carted field up turning and hit lead at 400m, travelled well and kept up gallop to score with some in hand despite winning margin reducing late.
4 SUPREME FALCON (P224) T Berry H Taken in behind midfield 7ls back in running line, suited by speed, improved turning, let down with a nice finish but gave too much start to eventual winner, kept trying and was wearing down right to line.
8 LOMBARDI (CK406) C Y Lui B Trapped wide early and with no cover forthcoming pressed forward to race in midfield, did share of work to bend, crept into 3rd spot at 400nm and did well to stick on despite being gapped by principals.
13 HONG KONG DANCER (N399) M L Yeung -- Tardy into stride, raced behind midfield 8ls back on rails, suited by tempo, saved ground on rails turning and kept to fence in straight making good ground to make frame.
10 FIGHTER CLASS (P196) D Whyte -- Unable to slot in closer than 3 wide and covered ground 6ls back in midfield, had cover in mid-section, improved at 400m, but run ended at 200m and just held ground late.
2 MR GINGER (N307) K C Ng B/TT Took a nice position in midfield 5ls away in running line, had ideal trip to turn, pushed a long but lacked an extra gear and just stayed on at same sped holding ground in run to line.
12 YEUNG SING (P001) A Suborics -- Dropped back to rear from an awkward alley, nearly 10ls off front, aided by early pace, still well back turning, closed off ok making some ground without threatening.
6 ABSOLUTE FANTASY (M284) H W Lai TT Pressed forward from a wide gate in search of front, raced 3ls clear setting a decent speed, came back to them at 400m, gradually faded final 300m when early work took toll.
11 SUPREME GENKI (M387) M Chadwick B/TT Crossed to take a nice trail, 3rd on rails, 2ls back turning and had every chance but lacked a pick-up, steadily faded final 300m.
1 MAC ROW (N252) T Angland H Drifted back races with last few, 8ls or so away, helped by tempo, plenty to do coming wide turning, made no real progress in straight just passing tired ones.
14 JUN JU (N291) C W Wong TT Out in line, unable to hold a spot early and raced behind midfield 6ls or so back on rails, easy trip thereafter, made no real headway in straight.
3 HAPPY SUMMER (P327) C K Tong H/TT Began well enough, took a spot 1 out 1 back tracking a devcnet5 pace, still there in 4th turning but condition gave out soon after and dropped off quickly.
5 FOREVER ELATION (CK215) O Doleuze B Even break, settled in midfield on rails 5ls or so off lead, fair run to turn, in a bit of traffic turning but lacked usual close and only battled in straight.
7 MIGHTY K (M315) W C Marwing H/TT No early pace, settled at rear, 10ls or so away, not travelling and struggled to keep up turning, made no impression in straight (see racing incidents).
