2 8 RACING SUPERNOVA (V128) J Moreira -- Not pushed hard early, eventually settling around midfield, 1 off the fence. Ran steadily in the straight. Picked up the bit in the last 100m to run strongly, but too late to pick up the winner.
3 2 ALL YOU WISH (P031) O Bosson B-/TT Struggled to keep up with the field early, sitting last and 3L off the next horse at 900m. Caught up by the home turn, and had to go wide for a run. Powered home from the 250m, catching first 2, but had too much to do.
4 5 SECRET COMMAND (S275) K Teetan V/TT Taken forward early, before allowing leaders to cross and settling in a handy position, 4th on the rail. Had clear running in the straight, and ran strongly to the line, but lacked a big kick to take on those ahead.
5 1 WASHINGTON HEIGHTS (V196) Z Purton -- Crowded early and eased back to sit at the rear of the field, 1 off the fence. Never got a run early in the straight, before finally getting clear, then bumped at 200m. Improved well in the limited time he had late.
6 3 KEY WITNESS (S212) D Whyte B/TT Eased back after jumping to sit worse than midfield, 3 wide. Had no run in the straight until coming to the extreme outside passing the 250m, and ran well, picking up horses late.
7 9 OUR FOLKS (P400) K K Chiong TT Taken forward from the jump to ensure she led, on the rail. Ran OK early in the straight before peaking at 200m and dropping out late.
8 12 MR BOGART (V253) Y T Cheng B Bumped and unbalanced on jumping. Attempted to press forward before sitting behinds the leader 4-5 wide, no cover. Wide on the turn, but questionably ridden early in the straight and not fully tested late. Jockey questioned.
9 6 WHY WHY (P372) C Y Ho B/H1/TT Began well and taken forward early, before electing to drop back and settle midfield, on the rail. Plugged along the rails with little impact and was easing late.
10 4 FRIENDS OF KA YING (T370) K C Leung B Began OK and taken forward early to be well placed 4-5th, 1 off the fence behind the leaders. Came off heels and lost some ground at 900m. Ran flat in the straight and didn't respond to urgings, before easing out late.
11 14 JADE FORTUNE (V020) K C Ng H1 Taken forward early and sat forward of midfield, 3 wide with cover. Eased out of a run at 300m and lost ground, and only went hands and heels from that point and was eased out late.
12 11 HAMMER KING (V034) M L Yeung B Attempted to come across from the wide draw and sat midfield, but never closer than 3 wide. Became unsettled on heels 800m, before steadying and taken wider at 700m. Steady until 200, before fading out.
13 7 HELLA HEDGE (P355) C K Tong B Pushed forward from the widest draw, but couldn't get in with the bunched field and stuck 3 wide no cover up front. Burnt a lot of gas early, and had nothing left in the straight and faded out from the 300m.
14 10 RHODE ASSASSIN (T423) T H So H-/B/TT1 Eased forward early to sit at the rear of the field, on the fence. Awkward on heels 800m. Never responded early in the straight, and not persevered with over the last 200m.
