4 7 SUNSHINE WARRIOR (C360) V Borges CP/TT Slightly slow out settling towards the rear on the rail, gained slightly closer towards midfield along back straight and saved ground turning for home, ran on along the rail to narrowly miss a place.
5 10 CHANCHENG PRINCE (D270) R Maia XB/TT Settled not far off the pace in 3rd on the rail, held some chance in home straight but unable to quicken to threaten.
6 5 SOLAR WAI WAI (C111) M F Poon -- Broke well from a low draw settling one-out-one-back in 4th, in similar position turning into home straight, fought on steadily without threatening.
7 6 KILINDINI (E236) K Teetan TT Soon taken well back after moderate start, travelled keenly the majority of back straight, saved ground turning for home, produced good late impression.
8 4 SAVAQUIN (D479) C Schofield -- Settled in midfield in 6th on the rail, commenced move rounding home bend and switched wide for a run entering straight, fought on steadily without threatening.
9 1 THE ROCK (D187) J Moreira P- Settled towards the rear, turned home near the rail, hampered over 100 metres out and made no further impression.
10 8 BEAR AGAIN (C301) L Ferraris SR Pressed forward to lead on the rail from a wide gate setting a standard pace, headed soon after straightening at the 300 metres and weakened badly.
11 3 RED DESERT (C287) H Bentley -- Prominently early, hampered approaching the winning post the first time, travelled in forward of midfield in 5th in back straight, went wide turning for home, soon weakened.
