4 7 HERO STAR (D033) M F Poon TT Broke well to lead early, ceded advantage for 3rd behind pace turning into back straight, angled out 3-wide into home straight to hold every chance, unable to draw level throughout and lost placing final strides.
5 9 PERFECT PEACH (E488) L Hewitson B/H/TT Taken back from a wide gate, trailed the field most of the way, turned home on the rail, ran on well under pressure for a nice seasonal debut.
6 3 WIND SPEEDER (E281) C Y Ho -- Close up early, gradually settled in 5th over 3L back in back straight, came under pressure rounding final bend, kept on steadily under pressure without threatening.
7 10 NEXTMODEL (D015) K Teetan TT Pressed forward from the widest gate to lead, obtained rails run shortly after straightening on the far side, led until headed just inside the 500 metres, kept on in 2nd on the rail until swamped inside final 150 metres.
8 2 GOODLUCK GOODLUCK (B188) M Chadwick -- Ridden hard early for prominent position, came to join the leaders 3-wide without cover in back straight, hit the front just inside the 500 metres and led briefly before headed shortly after straightening.
9 5 HOODABUTTA (G366) Z Purton -- Travelled wide without cover throughout and never better than midfield, hung wider turning for home, no further impression.
10 6 SPARTAN MISSILE (E420) L Currie -- Always wide well behind, never seen with a chance. (Lame next day)
