2 4 RED ELEGANCE (H241) M Chadwick CP-/B1/TT- Bumped at the start after veering outwards before racing in midfield. Improved position between runners approaching 400m, shared lead fleetingly approaching 50m mark before over-run in late stages.
3 9 GLORY ELITE (H311) K C Leung H1 Raced just forward of midfield nearer to the center of the track. Continued close to lead near 400m, came under pressure soon after, battled on well in late stage to narrowly hold third place on line.
4 5 MULTISUPER (G416) L Hewitson CP-/B2/TT1 Raced in midfield when galloping nearest to the center of the track. Was just under 2L from the lead entering last section, finished off well all the way to be beaten a similar margin into fourth on line.
5 10 PARENTS' LOVE (H405) Y L Chung H/TT Raced a length from the lead in early stages before improving position to take a narrow lead approaching half-way. Continued to hold narrow lead until the 125m mark, battled on ok thereafter & wasn't beaten far.
6 12 GUSTY FIGHTER (J029) A Hamelin P1/TT Raced close to the lead after start when galloping one horse in from the outside rail. Was just over a length from lead entering last section, tried hard all the way to the line, beaten just under 2L into midfield.
7 7 THE PERFECT MATCH (J253) Z Purton TT1 Got back to race just worse than midfield after the start when galloping in the clear. Was over 3L from the lead entering last section, made up a length or so in final stages when finishing midfield (blood in trachea).
8 8 FLYING PHANTOM (J086) B Avdulla H Slow to begin & raced second last. Was 4.5L from lead entering last section, shifted inwards near the 300m to improve, badly held up between rivals in final 125m when finishing strongly, was very unlucky. Rider questioned.
9 6 MATSU VICTOR (H472) M F Poon -- Badly crowded & checked between runners at start & raced a clear last. Continued last at the 400m when over 7L from lead before making good late ground along stand side rail in final stages for eye-catching midfield finish.
10 3 METRO WARRIOR (D387) H Bowman CP Bumped on jumping & unbalanced before racing in midfield. Was just over 2L from the lead entering last section, shifted inwards near the 300m mark but then did little thereafter. Rider questioned, see report.
11 1 SUPER COMMANDER (D350) B Thompson V-/TT- Began well and assumed the early lead when galloping along stand side rail. Was joined & shared lead approaching 700m, was beaten off soon after entering final section & weakened pretty poorly in last furlong.
12 13 KOWLOON EAST STAR (E158) C L Chau H/SR/TT Showed speed to race close to the lead before sharing the lead from about the 700m when galloping nearer to the center of the track. Was beaten passing the 400m mark & weakened poorly thereafter.
13 11 FANCY STAR (H428) M L Yeung P/TT Began moderately & got back to race third last after start when galloping closer to center of track. Was ridden along before half-way, continued to gallop in isolation before weakening very poorly to be a long second last.
14 2 THE GREAT MASTER (H457) E C W Wong H/TT Ridden forward after the start to race only a length from the lead in early stages. Began losing ground from half-way & weakened out to be a very long last. Poor.
