Takahisa Tezuka hails from racing family and his father was also a trainer. After graduating from Keio University, he joined the racing industry and started out working for trainer Katsutoshi Aikawa in 1989. He started his training career in 1999 and has amassed 619 JRA wins so far including 27 this term (as of 27 November). Uberleben, Schnell Meister and Win Marilyn were among his stable stars in recent years. Uberleben won the 2021 Japanese Oaks, while Schnell Meister was the 2021 NHK Mile Cup victor. Recently, Win Marilyn finished a gallant second in Queen Elizabeth II Cup in early November.
