Racing Incident Report
Before being presented for the parade, it was noted that the near side front plate of BOTANY BAY had spread. This was replaced before the horse was presented in the parade. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed suitable to race. After being boxed, TRY YOUR BEST became restless and was continually shifting its head about. As the gates opened, TRY YOUR BEST turned its head slightly to the near side, came out with its head up and missed the start badly. On jumping, STRATEGIC MOVE and STAR OF TAI PO bumped. BAYVIEW KING made the first turn awkwardly and caused some inconvenience to STAR OF TAI PO.
