Racing Incident Report

Before being presented in the Parade Ring, PREMIER TREASURE had its near side front plate adjusted. GOOD RECORD was slow to jump, was then checked when crowded between ESPRESSO and ST ALANN, both of which shifted ground. HUANGDI jumped awkwardly. Just after the start, HIGHLAND LEGEND became unbalanced and threw its head about. In the early stages, DR MORE proved difficult to settle, at about the 800 Metres got its head up and shifted in abruptly away from the heels of ESPRESSO. As a consequence of this, MUGHAL PALACE was severely checked and GOOD RECORD, which was following, checked. Inconvenience was also caused to HUANGDI. In the opinion of the Stewards, the occurrence was accidental and no action was taken. For some distance near the 200 Metres, HIGHLAND LEGEND had trouble obtaining a clear run between ST ALANN which was giving ground and MUGHAL PALACE. In the run to the winning post, EXULTATION and SPARKY raced tight between PREMIER TREASURE and GREENMORE. PREMIER TREASURE was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that ST ALANN had bled from both nostrils.
