Racing Incident Report

When the gates opened, VIKING DANCER reared, as a consequence lost a lot of ground and then in the middle stages hung out. The performance of VIKING DANCER was considered by the Stewards to be unacceptable. Before the horse can race again, it will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial around a bend. EMPIRE COURT jumped with its head up. WINTEL jumped awkwardly, because of this Apprentice Y T Cheng was momentarily unbalanced. WINTEL was further inconvenienced when GOLDEN BELL shifted in abruptly on jumping. On the first turn, GOLDEN BELL was steadied from the heels of HORSE OF HEALTHY which shifted in when barely clear. When GOLDEN BELL steadied, some inconvenience was caused to EMPIRE COURT. I DELIVER made the first turn awkwardly. About the 200 Metres, QUICK COMMANDER, which was making some ground, was checked when crowded between ETERNAL START and EMPIRE COURT (W M Lai) which initially shifted in on its own accord, but was later taken in further by EASY STAR (W C Marwing) which shifted in when being ridden out. The Stewards were not able to be satisfied that either W M Lai or W C Marwing was entirely responsible for the crowding which occurred to QUICK COMMANDER and therefore took no direct action, but W M Lai was told he must exercise care at all times and W C Marwing was told in similar situations he must stop riding and straighten even his chance of success is affected. After the 200 Metres, GOLDEN BELL, which was giving ground, was steadied between AFICIONADO and SHAXI TREASURE. When GOLDEN BELL steadied, some inconvenience was caused to WINTEL.
