Racing Incident Report

Before the race, WINNING STAR had its off side hind plate refitted. SPECTACULAR WIN jumped very awkwardly with its head up, shifted out abruptly and bumped the hindquarters of PROSPEROUS DYNASTY. UNCONDITIONAL LOVE was slowly away. Running past the winning post the first time, NAZAKAT II proved difficult to settle and for some distance raced with its head up. About the 1000 Metres, when OWNERS' GLORY was steadied from behind HOLLYWOOD STAR, it got its head up, on the side, shifted out abruptly across the heels of BORN SMART despite the efforts of D Whyte to keep the horse under proper control. As a result of OWNERS' GLORY shifting, it was severely checked. PERFECT CHAMPION also was severely checked. WINNING STAR was checked and shifted out. PROSPEROUS DYNASTY (Apprentice S K Sit), which was following, was also checked and was shifted out abruptly. As a consequence of this incident, Apprentice S K Sit said he was racing wide and without any cover and in his opinion because of the circumstance in which he found himself, he had little alternative but to let the horse stride along into a position near the lead. Because of the circumstances involved, no action could be taken. About the 800 Metres, OWNERS' GLORY shifted out to be racing behind WINNING STAR, this caused some inconvenience to PERFECT CHAMPION. For some distance near the 500 Metres, HOLLYWOOD STAR, which was travelling well, was awkwardly placed on the heels of NAZAKAT II. To obtain running, HOLLYWOOD STAR was shifted out, this caused some inconvenience to BORN SMART.
