Racing Incident Report

UNIVERSAL GLORY left the gates awkwardly with its head up, shifted out abruptly and bumped GOOD MAN which in turn shifted ground and bumped LOK WAH TREASURE, causing that horse to be carried onto the heels of MONZA KING and checked. TREMENDOUS WAY was slowly away. When being steadied in the early stages, MONZA KING had a tendency to throw its head about. When the pace momentarily steadied in the middle stages, UNIVERSAL GLORY, which was pulling, shifted out abruptly from behind THISTLEJADE, this caused inconvenience to LOK WAH TREASURE and obliged that horse to race wider. When LOK WAH TREASURE shifted back in to take up a position behind UNIVERSAL GLORY, crowding was caused to TREMENDOUS WAY. In view of all the circumstances, no action was taken. About the 600 Metres, UNIVERSAL GLORY raced tight between MILLENNIUM SPIRIT which was shifting out slightly to avoid ORIENTAL TREASURE and THISTLEJADE. On straightening, MILLENNIUM SPIRIT shifted out from behind MONZA KING, this caused some inconvenience to UNIVERSAL GLORY which shifted ground. As a result, THISTLEJADE was steadied. In the Straight, LOK WAH TREASURE hung out, at one stage this caused some inconvenience to THISTLEJADE. Also in the Straight, DANCING SURPASS hung in. From before the 200 Metres until about right on the winning post, DANCING SURPASS was held up for running. As a consequence, the horse was not properly tested out. In the run to the winning post, MILLENNIUM SPIRIT shifted in. As a result of this, MONZA KING was carried in. GOOD MAN was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
