Racing Incident Report
The start of the race was delayed as GOLDEN MAPLE was difficult to load into its stall. Before being allowed to race again, GOLDEN MAPLE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. When the gates opened, MANSFIELD STAR stood flat-footed and as a consequence lost a lot of ground. Before being allowed to race again, MANSFIELD STAR will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. On jumping, TOUCH DOWN was checked when crowded for room between FELICITY which shifted in and JOYOUS CHEERS which was taken out slightly by FORECAST TO WIN. Just after the start, FELICITY lost its position when crowded between DANHERO and JOYOUS CHEERS which shifted out abruptly away from FORECAST TO WIN. From a difficult gate, SPEED FIRE was obliged to race wide throughout and was not able to find any cover. From an outside gate, PERFECT SCORE was steadied on jumping to try and find cover. The horse proved very difficult to settle, particularly in the early stages raced awkwardly with its head up. When being shifted out near the 400 Metres, FELICITY was momentarily unbalanced. Approaching the 200 Metres, BLESSINGS' PARTNER was steadied and shifted in when disappointed for running between DANHERO and SPEED FIRE. Then over about the last 100 Metres, BLESSINGS' PARTNER was not able to find running. Near the 200 Metres, RENA'S WUNDERBAR was checked when crowded for room between FORECAST TO WIN which shifted out slightly and JOYOUS CHEERS which when racing ungenerously shifted ground abruptly away from LUCKY KING which improved quickly on its outside. In view of all the circumstances, no action was taken. FELICITY was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing. After the race, it was noted SHERDIL had lost its off side front plate.
