Racing Incident Report

M Walker (LAZY BUDDIES) was fined $2,000 for presenting himself at scale 2 lbs over the horse's allocated weight of 116 lbs without having declared it at declaration time. While being paraded before the race, DYNAMIC COMBO reared and fell. The horse was examined by the Senior Veterinary Surgeon. He said in his opinion the horse was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of DYNAMIC COMBO. After arriving at the Start, FLYING KENNY was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. The horse was trotted up and after the necessary consultations was considered suitable to race. After being boxed, WINNING SMILE became fractious and endeavoured to break out underneath the front gates of its stall. Before being allowed to race again, WINNING SMILE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. On jumping, WINNING SMILE and FLYING KENNY bumped. BEAR POWER began awkwardly. GREAT IDEA was slow to begin. On jumping, BEAUTY PLUS shifted in abruptly. Also on jumping, INEX EXCELLENCE shifted out and bumped SUN HEI GLORY. SUPERSONIC was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, SUPERSONIC was examined by the Veterinary Officer. No significant findings were made. SUPER CHARGE and FLYING KENNY were sent for sampling.
